Backend Manager

As our Backend Manager, you’ll be the operational backbone that ensures everything runs like clockwork – from chatting to shift control to campaign execution.

You’ll lead our internal systems and communication processes, maintain operational excellence, and empower teams to stay organized, deliver faster, and execute better. You are the silent force behind creative chaos, ensuring clarity, performance, and consistency in execution.

This role is built for someone who thrives in complexity, works systems-first, and knows how to keep remote teams aligned and efficient.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day backend operations across multiple departments (chatting, traffic, HR, content)
  • Manage and document internal SOPs and performance workflows
  • Coordinate team schedules and ensure seamless shift handovers (via ConnectTeam & Slack)
  • Supervise reporting structures and ensure clean documentation (Typeform, ClickUp)
  • Be the first point of contact for chatter and operator team leads
  • Maintain high operational quality by identifying errors, bottlenecks, or inconsistencies early
  • Assign and monitor recurring tasks to VAs and operators
  • Assist the CEO with backend task delegation and project coordination
  • Create structure in fast-moving environments, without slowing down output
  • Optimize automations via Slack / ClickUp / Zapier and ensure status updates are reflected in real-time
  • Manage onboarding/offboarding checklists and backend team performance tracking

  • Strong background in operations, team management or executive assistance (1–3 years+)
  • Experience working in ClickUp, Slack, Google Workspace & Zapier
  • Fluent English (C1+), clear written communication, and structured thinking
  • Highly organized and tech-savvy with excellent attention to detail
  • Able to create and maintain processes that are used across departments
  • Autonomous work ethic: You own your tasks without needing micromanagement
  • High sense of responsibility and integrity – we count on you to “keep the lights on”
  • Experience working remotely with international teams
  • Bonus: Knowledge of the creator economy, digital marketing, or subscription-based models
